GriefShare: Your Journey from Mourning to Joy:

GriefShare will meet in Danube at the Danube Community Center on Monday nights       starting in October and going through January. GriefShare is designed to be a friendly,    caring group of people who will walk alongside you through one of life’s most difficult    experiences. Built around a 13-week video curriculumGriefShare support groups meet weekly to help you face the challenges of grief and move from mourning to joy.

Pastor Kuschel Has Received a Divine Call: Pastor Kuschel has received a divine call to serve St. John’s Lutheran church in Stanton, Nebraska.  Pastor Kuschel asks for your prayers and your words of counsel during this time of deliberation.  May the Lord hold all the congregations involved in his gracious hands.

Kingdom Workers Presentation: Pastor Gerald Geiger will be with us after worship this morning at St. Matthew’s in Danube .  He will present a video explaining the mission of  WELS Kingdom Workers and the work that is being doing in our local chapter and beyond.  He will also explain ways that our congregation and its members may be able to get         involved with the exciting and helpful work carried out through this organization.

St. Matthew Flora Twp – Donation Drive for Renville County Food Shelf

A free will offering will be held following worship on Nov 12 and Nov 19 to support the Renville County Food Shelf.  Your donation will be used by the food shelf to stock needed items at a reduced cost to them.  May the Lord lead his people to care for those in need.

Parents Night Out: The 212 Teens for Christ will be hosting a Parents Night Out on December 1.  The teens along other volunteers will providing childcare for ages 0-12, at Little Lambs on Friday, December 1 from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. The night will give parents a night to themselves and perhaps offer a chance to do some Christmas shopping.  A meal will be included for the kids and they will have a chance to play at Little Lambs. The teens will also read books and play games with the children. Each child will receive a goody bag to remember their fun-filled night! The cost is $15/child or whatever  donation you would like to give.  Proceeds will support our local youth as they attend WELS International Youth Rally.   Sign up your child by contacting Beth Kuschel (320) 826-2280 or [email protected]. Thanksgiving Worship Services: O give thanks to the LORD for he is good, his mercy endures for ever.” We pause and give thanks to the LORD for the great and many things that he has done for us during the festival of Thanksgiving.  Join us for worship as we express our gratitude to God.  St. Matthew    Flora Twp will host a Thanksgiving Eve worship service on Wednesday, November 22 at 6:30pm.  Following the service the members of St. Matthew’s will enjoy some refreshments before decorating the church for the Christmas season.  St. Matthew’s Danube will host a Thanksgiving Day worship service on Thursday, November 23 at  9:30am.

Pointsettias Sign-Up Sheet: For those who would like to contribute to our Christmastime display of poinsettias at St. Matthew’s in Danube a sign-up sheet has been placed in the narthex.  Follow the instructions for payment that are printed on the sign-up sheet.  Thank you.

Ladies Aid Christmas Party Invitation: Members of St. Matthew’s are invited to join the Ladies Evening Circle for a night of Christmas themed fun and games as we remember the true reason for the season.  Bring a fun inexpensive gift, as we participate in a bingo gift-exchange.  We will also enjoy a potluck.  We plan to end the night with the reading of the Christmas account from Luke chapter 2 and sing some Christmas hymns.  Come join us as we celebrate the birth of the newborn king on Wednesday, December 6.

Veterans Day Prayer: We thank you, Lord, for our military veterans.  Through them you have provided us with many blessings.  Lord, you have warned that wars and rumors of wars will continue until the end of time.  In your mercy, keep war from our shores, and frustrate the plans of all those who would cause us terror.  Lord of the Nations, we ask that you continue to bless our country with men and women who are willing to go to distant and dangerous places to protect us from those who would do us harm.  Be with our veterans as they continue their march through life.  Protect them from sin and Satan.  Give them the health the need to carry out their missions in life and bring them safely to their heavenly home.
